The focus of the position supports and assists the Head Golf Professional, the Golf Pro Shop Assistant and Team Lead in all aspects of running the Golf Operations in the Back Shop on a daily basis with the goal of providing a fun and caring environment to help create special memories for our guests/members.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

1. Demonstrate through their own behaviours the Service Culture Standards of Cranberry Village in providing a fun and caring environment for our guests / members and fellow team members which in turn will create special memories.
2. Responds to guest / member complaints and resolves them in a way that ensures the guest / member is satisfied, will return again and that every guest / member departs happy.
3. Maintains and delivers a “no compromise” attitude towards providing the highest possible level of Hospitality, Quality and Value to our guests / members.
4. Adheres to all of the mandatory written standards of operations, policies, procedures, manuals, oral instructions, employee handbook, collective agreement that is in place at Cranberry Village.
5. To be informed on and promote all club activities and services.
6. Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course and equipment usage.
7. Work well in a team environment.
8. Greet all arriving guests / members at the podium with “Good Morning/Afternoon” and use the guests / members name when possible and known.
9. Maintains a smile and good friendly working attitude at all times.
10. Assist the guests with their clubs from the car.
11. Drives carts out to members or replacing dead carts on course from time to time.
12. Assists with setting up member’s bags on pull carts or electric carts in AM.
13. Cleaning carts on the go as carts come off the course and prepare for another round.
14. Keeping cart barn, back shop and lunch area clean at all times.
15. Emptying garbage at shift end each day, replacing garbage bags.
16. End of night, F and B will need garbage emptying and taking to Garbage at Maintenance area.
17. Clean sweep of premise at the end of night, looking for pull carts, garbage around course and clubhouse.
18. Maintains clubhouse cleanliness at all times both indoors and outdoors.
19. Walkie-Talkie communication essential, adhered to in a professional and friendly manner.
20. Cleaning, maintaining the overall good health of each golf cart.
21. Cleans, sets up range balls (pyramids), replaces range baskets and collects range balls.
22. Carts must be plugged in secure and charged each night.
23. Trained and adhered to the rules of towing carts to and from cart barn.
24. Maximum 2 golf carts towed at any one time.
25. Fills out golf op checklist each day signed.
26. Monitors driving range and ensures all baskets are sufficiently stacked.
27. Assist bringing beverage cart over to clubhouse (East side) around 10am each day
28. Works with the superintendent to ensure gas is filled and recorded on the tally sheet.
29. Always keep a close eye on Greeting area/bag drop for members or guests arriving
30. Has a general knowledge of the resort’s facilities and services.
31. Adheres to all Health & Safety policies and procedures and works in a safe manner at all times.
32. May perform other duties and functions as assigned by Head Golf Professional or Associate Golf Professional.


Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and have a strong ability to prioritize.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail skills
• Must be able to maintain standards under variable conditions
• Professional attitude and appearance at all times


Working Conditions

• Works the majority of the time outdoors but some indoor in the Back Shop.
• Exercise care when handling golf carts, golf bags and operating range cart.
• Must be physically fit able to bend, reach and lift at least 30lbs
• Must be able to walk and stand for an average of 6-8 hours per shift
• Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Outdoors, please use sunscreen and always have bottled water with you.

The incumbent must be well organized, flexible and have the ability to prioritize for maximum efficiency. This position requires someone with strong interpersonal skills, who is responsive to internal and external demands.
