Profile
Sonora Dunes Golf Course is part of the NKMIP Resort, the Okanagan?s ultimate resort destination. It offers golfers of all abilities a one-of-a-kind desert links golf course experience. Golfers enjoy breathtaking views of the lake, vineyard and surrounding mountains. As Cook and Restaurant Leader you are an integral member of the team providing all food service in the clubhouse for the bar and grill style restaurant. You will work closely with the General Manager and must be able to communicate well with both customers and co-workers.
Responsibilities
Provide friendly and efficient service
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items
Oversee kitchen operations including inventory and equipment
Uphold the highest level of cleanliness
Qualifications
3 years related experience
completion of, or enrollment in, a culinary program
Minimum High School Diploma
Food Safe or the desire to obtain certification
WHIMIS training an asset
Personal Qualities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized, flexible and self-motivated
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to speak, read, and understand English fluently
Working Conditions
Must be willing to work variable hours and weekends
Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion
This position will spend 100% of the time standing
Occasional environmental exposures to cold or heat
